Community Partner Activities

Crossroads of America Council partners with several community organizations throughout the year to offer Scout units and families discounted and/or "behind the scenes" experiences at attractions and events.  Families are welcome to attend events without their Scouting unit.

Scout Night with the Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium - August 13, 2017 - 1:30 pm

Boys Scouts and troops statewide are invited to attend the Indianapolis Colts vs. Detroit Lions game. The day will include a special ticket offer to Colts game, pre-game performance presented by the Colts Mascot, Blue, in his very own "Be the Best You Can Be" Show and a customized "Blue" Scout patch!

Scout Night with Indy Eleven- Saturday, September 23, 2017; 6 pm 
Carroll Stadium - IUPUI

Scouts and their family are invited to participate in our fantastic Scout Night with the Indy Eleven. By purchasing tickets thorough this offer, Scouts will be able to kick a soccer ball into the net on the field after the match and receive a FREE Indy Eleven Scout Night Patch!

Civil War Days - Battle of Belzer, October 20-22, 2017

Come join us for the unique experience of Battler of Belzer where both youth and adults are enlisted into the Union or Confederate army for the weekend. You will live like a Civil War soldier, and learn to battle as they did during this time.

Groups are paired with Civil War reenactors and will travel through historical education stations, participate in company and battalion assemblies and parades, and attend military drills including the School of the Soldier. They will get to witness cannon firings as well!

Our soldiers will also live camp life in the bivouac area including eating a soldier's rations such as hardtack and beef jerky. This is a great hands on learning event for Scouts an Adults! To learn more click here, and to register click here.

Marvel Universe Live! Age of Heroes - December 3, 2017

Marvel fans, assemble for this live, action-packed battle to defend the universe for evil. This all new show unites Spider-Man, the Avengers, the Guardians of the Galaxy and Doctor Strange in race against time to recover the Wand of Watoomb before Loki gains control. Monster Jam @ Lucas Oil Stadium - Saturday, February 10, 2018 - $16

Join us and check out the action as these 10,000-pound monsters trucks come to town. With the purchase of a Saturday event ticket that starts at $16, all Scouts and their families will be given a fee Friday night pit pass that will give you private access to meet drivers and see Monster Jam trucks on the Stadium floor. Monster Energy Supercross @ Lucas Oil Stadium - Saturday, March 24, 2018 - $11

Largest Pinewood Derby Track and Best in Show at the Indiana State Museum 
April 3-8, 2018

Come race on the 125' long tow and half story track in the entryway of the Indiana State Museum, it is an impressive site. Plus, take part in the best in show if your car is built more for fun than speed. Something for everyone at a great price! More information to come.


Merit Badge and Advancement Activities

Throughout the year, Crossroads of America Council will host several merit badge and rank advancement opportunities for Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts. Many of these are offered in conjunction with Community Partners such as Microsoft and the Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site, to name a few. Check back often as new activities will be added frequently.

IPL Merit Badge Partnership Incentive

Scouts who earn the Energy or Sustainability merit badge in 2017 will receive a lantern courtesy of IPL. To claim the incentive, the unit Advancement Chair must submit the merit badge completion form to any council Scout Shop.

St. Vincent Merit Badge Partnership Incentive

Scouts who earn the First Aid merit badge in 2017 will receive a first aid kit courtesy of St. Vincent. To claim the incentive, the unit Advancement Chair must submit the merit badge completion form to any council Scout Shop.
