Community Partner Activities

Crossroads of America Council partners with several community organizations throughout the year to offer Scout units and families discounted and/or "behind the scenes" experiences at attractions and events.  Families are welcome to attend events without their Scouting unit.

CNO Financial Star and Life to Eagle Seminar, September 19, 2017 - 5-7 PM at the CNO Financial Conference Center.

Star and Life Scouts are invited to a seminar on how  to achieve Eagle Rank, host by the CNO Conference Center in Carmel. What's more EXCITING!! Indiana Pacers players and Boomer will be there for games, photo-ops and fellowship before and after the seminar! Scout Night with Indy Eleven- Saturday, October 7*, 2017; 6 pm

Civil War Days - Battle of Belzer, October 20-22, 2017

Come join us for the unique experience of Battler of Belzer where both youth and adults are enlisted into the army for the weekend. You will live like a Civil War soldier, and learn to battle as they did during this time.

Groups are paired with Civil War reenactment actors and will travel through historical education stations, participate in company and battalion assemblies and parades, and attend military drills including the School of the Soldier. They will get to witness cannon firings as well!

Our soldiers will also live camp life in the bivouac area including eating a soldier's rations such as hardtack and beef jerky. This is a great hands on learning event for Scouts an Adults! To learn more click here, and to register click here.

Bewitched Belzer Bash-Sunday, October 29, 2017 from 5:30 - 8PM @ Camp Belzer (6102 Boy Scout Rd. Indianapolis 46226) - $15 per car.

Join us for a night of spooky family fun and celebrate Halloween in a setting that can't be beat!

We will have many activities including haunted hike, storytelling, campfire and festive games, candy amd food..and more!!

Scout Night with the Indiana Pacers Vs. Detroit Pistons - Friday, November 17, 2017 @ Bankers Life Fieldhouse - 7PM (Doors open at 6 PM )*

Merit Badge and Advancement Activities


Throughout the year, Crossroads of America Council will host several merit badge and rank advancement opportunities for Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts. Many of these are offered in conjunction with Community Partners such as Microsoft and the Benjamin Harrison Presidential Site, to name a few. Check back often as new activities will be added frequently.

IPL Merit Badge Partnership Incentive

Scouts who earn the Energy or Sustainability merit badge in 2017 will receive a lantern courtesy of IPL. To claim the incentive, the unit Advancement Chair must submit the merit badge completion form to any council Scout Shop.

St. Vincent Merit Badge Partnership Incentive

Scouts who earn the First Aid merit badge in 2017 will receive a first aid kit courtesy of St. Vincent. To claim the incentive, the unit Advancement Chair must submit the merit badge completion form to any council Scout Shop. 

Fall Break Merit Badge Camp

October 9-13, 2017

Don't sleep your week away, come to Camp Belzer and learn a new skill and earn a few merit badges.

The Scout attending the Fall Break Merit Badge Camp will have the opportunity to earn the following merit badges: Personal Management, Environmental Science, Fire Safety, Emergency Preparedness, 1st Aid, Search and Rescue, Pioneering, Sustainability, Citizenship in the World, Oceanography.

Fingerprinting and Crime Prevention Merit Badge - December 16. 2017 at the Indiana State Police Museum @ 9AM - $20 per scout.

The Indiana State Police Museum offers you the chance to earn your badge in Fingerprinting and/or Crime Prevention*, led by a certified merit badge counselor.
